I was introduced to the magic of photography at a very early age by my father and later by my brother in law. What started as a hobby in the 60's became a passion by the 80's and in 1985, I took it up as a full-time profession with help from Mr. & Mrs.Ray Bakke of Chicago, USA.To fine tune my skills I joined Chitrabani, a reputed institute of Mass Communications at Calcutta. I was also lucky enough to learn from Mr.Garry Mason, former teacher of Photography, State University of Kansas, as well as personal photographer to Ronald Reagan, former president of the USA, when he was in India doing a series on Mother Teresa for Kodak.Work Experience:Photographer and Dev. Asst. with CASA (Churches Auxilliary for Social Action) Area Coordinator with World Vision of India where I used photographs to enhance my reports on childcare and community development. Freelance photographer with The Statesman, Calcutta, The Independent, Amrita Bazar Patrika, Times of India, Reuters and various Advertising Agencies in Bhubaneswar.
